INDIVIDUAL DRUM LESSONS

Drum teaching is my speciality and greatest passion as I love to see the consequences that learning drums have on my students. Not only do my students learn to play with great technique, listening skills, reading ability, co-ordination and sensitivity but they also learn self confidence, discipline, concentration and sensitivity as a person, which impacts their whole life! 

 

My lessons include learning to read rhythm, improvisation, learning various styles from jazz, hip hop, reggae, rock, blues, funk and more. 

 

I've taken most of my students through graded examinations with Trinity and many of my students have gone on to play live, either in school, in bands, orchestras or professionally. One example is my first student that I taught at age 5 going on to play at the National Young Drummer awards in 2015.

I teach from home, in schools and visit students at their own home to teach. I also have public liability insurance with the Musicians Union and am DBS / criminal records checked to work with children.
